The Events

SunCrest is a vibrant, active community where there’s always something to do. There are several events to look forward to every year, with new and different activities always being added. Below are just a few examples of SunCrest’s neighborhood events:

Summer Concerts

Each summer the Village Green lawn is turned into an outdoor concert hall. Separate summer concerts are given by local artists ranging from fast-fiddlin’ bluegrass to good old-school rock n’ roll. These events are usually preceded by a picnic dinner or a drive up food truck.

Meet and Greet

As residents, you probably have lots of questions. This quarterly event is all about answering them, as well as helping you meet new neighbors.

Easter Egg Hunt

On your mark, get set, go! Just make sure you’re not late or the goodies may be all accounted for. The Easter Bunny has been known to make an appearance on a big red firetruck. Photo opportunity anyone?

Holiday Party

Hot cocoa, peppermint candy canes, and even a visit from Jolly Old Saint Nick. The SunCrest Holiday party is certainly an event you don’t want to miss. Neighbors can mix and mingle by the fire in the Community Clubhouse as they celebrate the season.

Annual Pool Opening Celebration

It always seems like this even cannot come soon enough. Bust out your swimsuits, find your favorite book, and get ready to soak up some sunrays. The pool-opening kickoff is a fun event to start your summer off right.

Trunk or Treat

Little ghosts, ghouls, goblins and everything in-between. This trick or treat event is great for younger children and their parents. The Clubhouse parking lot turns into a ‘spooky’ graveyard as parents enjoy competing for bragging rights for decorating the best Halloween car trunk.

Movies In The Park

Fresh air, good company, and a big inflatable movie screen! Bring your blankets, lawn chairs, snacks and come down and meet your neighbors for the SunCrest’s “Movie in the Park”.

Other Events

Neighborhood garage sales, chili cookoffs, daddy daughter dances, parties and picnics are common–both the official SunCrest bashes and the smaller pocket parties. Neighbors are always planning new events like hikes, bike rides, game nights, wine tasting, and get-togethers. SunCrest is truly a thriving neighborhood!
