More About Me

I Get It...

Having made several moves across the country, both with and without kids (but always with pets), I understand the anxiety, uncertainty, and the overwhelm of moving. My goal is to help you every step of the way and make the transition a smooth one for you.

How I Work to Help You...

My clients describe my style as professional, but friendly and down-to-earth. Since my business is based mostly on referrals, it's critical for me to exceed expectations as I help you achieve your real estate goals.
If you're new to the area, I'll give you a tour and help you find a home that fits your lifestyle. Showing off our beautiful area is what I love and what inspires me. Then I'll help you get connected and be your resource for whatever helps make your new house a home. I "have people" for most any situation...
Having a degree in Computer Programming, I understand, love, and embrace technology. it's vital to marketing my listings in our new world where over 90% of homebuyers look online for homes. But there is a personal side to selling a home as well. That's why I make sure my entire sphere of influence knows about the homes I'm marketing - they may know a potential buyer and not even know it!

I Keep Learning for You...

Real estate by nature is ever-changing. As a full-time Realtor, to keep up with current laws, forms, lending practices, etc., I commit to earning a minimum of 20 hours of Continuing Education hours per year. This greatly decreases the chances of "surprises" during the home buying or selling process.
Since earning my Eco-Broker designation several years ago, I have enjoyed teaching friends, family and clients to recognize the value of energy-efficiency and the use of sustainable products, and also help them improve indoor air quality in their homes, and use more natural products in their yards.
In my "previous life", I worked for the District Attorney in Johnson County, Kansas. That position taught me the value of being level-headed, organized, timely, and people-oriented while working in high-pressure conditions; skills I still use every day (and wish everyone would...)

Giving Back is the Best...

The Pacific NW is an amazing place to enjoy the outdoors. In "my time", I like to golf, ski, hike, bike, boat and kayak, and also garden, read, travel, and walk my dog. By donating to the State and National Parks, and helping to keep the streets and beaches free of trash, I hope I'm making a small difference in preserving the natural resources that I'm so fortunate to be able to enjoy.
Giving back is important to me so I volunteer my time greeting visitors at the Visitor Information Center/Gig Harbor Chamber of Commerce each Wednesday. Every time that I hear from visitors how much they love it here, it inspires me to be more involved in the community. In 2006 I helped with Habitat for Humanity's Builders Blitz in Tacoma and have supported the program ever since. Other local organizations that I have supported financially are Courage360 (a local program to help families facing a hardship), the Harbor History Museum, the Windermere Foundation, the Chamber of Commerce, The Phoebe House, World Vets, and the Prison Pet Partnership Program. In addition, I'm grateful to be able to sponsor four children from South America through Children International, and donate annually to the Humane Society, World Wildlife Fund, Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, and various other organizations.
