Portland’s Most Impressive Ranch

Mid-Century Modern Ranch

When I first started in the real estate industry I knew nothing about the different types of homes. As I started learning, one in particular stood out, the ranch. No I don't mean a place where you can raise all of your farm animals, it's a particular type of home. First built in the 1920's, the ranch, also known as American ranch, California ranch, rambler or rancher, is a domestic architectural style originating in the United States. The ranch house is known for its long, close-to-the-ground profile, and minimal use of exterior and interior decoration. The houses fuse modernist ideas and styles with notions of the American Western period working ranches to create a very informal and casual living style.

Placed in the highly sought after Laurelhurst neighborhood, this mid-century modern ranch was most impressive to me this week. Remodeled, but still keeping some if it's classic touches, this modernized ranch stood out among the others I toured. The appearance from the outside is what captured my eye and then what I found inside continued to wow me. When entering this gorgeous home the new hardwood floors make the living room feel bright and open. On this main floor you'll find two of the three bedrooms, two of the three bathrooms and a gorgeous fireplace followed by the kitchen and dining area. From the dining area you can step outside and find a peaceful backyard with a new patio and concrete fire pit. You then can make your way downstairs into the finished basement that holds your family room and the last bedroom and full bathroom.

Lets not forget the finishes on this modernized ranch. The kitchen carries quartz counters, duel fuel range and custom white cabinets. All the bathrooms include a tiled shower, tiled floors and nicely finished counters. Throughout this entire 2,038 square foot home you'll find plenty of storage and enough space to entertain your guests and family. With a brand new furnace, roof, electrical panel, wood windows and hardwoods, this home is ready to sell which makes it move-in ready.

Most impressive why? I can say, so far, this has been one of my favorite remodels. The overall feel of this ranch when walking through was impressive. I like to be wowed around every corner, and I was. I think it's in a great location, nice big lot, priced to sell and it's definitely a crowd pleaser.

Any questions about this home feel free to contact me at anytime and my team or myself will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
