WOW, it’s been 15 years already. 15 years ago I retired from my previous position as a 30+ year General Foreman for Cochran Electric. I became a Real Estate Broker for Windermere/ West Sound. We’ve seen great changes in our real estate markets. Ups and downs, but always an upward trend.
My job is to educate you to current realities of the market and current practices In Real Estate.
Briefly, before 1997, every agent worked for the seller alone. As you may guess, this left buyers in the lurch. In 1997 with the adoption and publication of
The Law of Real Estate Agency, all this changed to a more buyer friendly climate. Later in this buyer guide I included a copy of the Agency agreement for you to browse. This is taken seriously enough that every buyer and seller must sign a copy before engaging in any transaction.
On the next page, I’ve plagiarized the Realtors Code of Ethics which fully, but not completely expresses my business plan.
I’ve learned a lot during this time. Probably the hardest thing was just listening The second thing was to get clarity on what YOUR goals are. Both these things seem easy, but the one thing for me was to ask questions, and then most challenging, shut up and listen. I’m sure you have questions.
I’d love to sit down with you and see if you and I are a good fit to work together.
